Learning Japanese culture and literature of the Edo period.
In this class, we will study Japanese culture and literature of the Edo period. Since the Meiji era, Japan has joined the era of globalization led by the West. However, at the same time, opportunities to learn about the culture and literature of earlier times have become scarce. By focusing on the society and values of the Edo period, we can gain a deeper understanding of Japan's culture and literature before globalization.

Learning Japanese culture and literature of the Edo period.
江戸時代を中心に、日本の文化と文学を学びます。明治時代から日本は、西欧を中心とするグローバルな時代になりましたが、一方で、それ以前の文化や文学を知る機会は少なくなってしまいました。私たちは、江戸時代の社会や価値観にも注目することで、グローバル化以前の日本の文化と文学をより深く学ぶことができるでしょう。
