This course aims for students to learn basic knowledge about Japanese books and learn the basics of book research.
We will explain basic knowledge about Japanese books, focusing on early modern publications. In addition, by practicing deciphering writing in running form characters multiple times, students will develop their basic skills in reading writing in running form characters. Students will also learn the basics of bibliography, especially by practicing bibliographic research using early modern editions. By handling multiple books, students will understand the characteristics of various genres.

和本に関する基礎知識を習得し、書誌調査の基本を習得する。
This course aims for students to learn basic knowledge about Japanese books and learn the basics of book research.
近世の出版物を中心とした和本に関する基礎知識の解説を行う。また、くずし字の解読演習を複数回行うことで、くずし字読解の基礎力を養う。そして、特に近世の版本を用いた書誌調査の実習を行うことによって、書誌学の基本を学ぶ。複数の書物を扱うことによって、さまざまなジャンルの特色を理解する。
