- Acquisition of Methodological Frameworks for Cultural Analysis: To master the methodological "toolkit" necessary for the critical and analytical examination of literary and artistic works, as well as cultural phenomena, through the study of foundational textbooks on critical theory.
- Development of Proficiency in Academic Reading and Presentation: To develop the skills to accurately read academic and logical texts, extract key arguments for the creation of structured handouts, and deliver clear, accessible presentations.
- Cultivation of Collaborative Inquiry through Logical Discussion: To foster the ability to deepen collective understanding and insights through classroom discussions grounded in mutual respect and logical reasoning.
- Identification and Evaluation of Research Perspectives in the Humanities: To gain exposure to various research approaches within the humanities, enabling the precise identification and comprehension of the perspectives and methodologies employed in existing scholarship
- Collaborative Reading of Foundational Critical Theory: The course will be conducted as a collaborative reading of "For Students of Critical Theory", edited by Kosei Ogura (in Japanese).
- Student Presentations and Class Discussions: For each chapter, one or two designated students will deliver a presentation. Presenters are required to prepare a handout and report on the key arguments. Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and a group discussion involving all participants.
- Preparation and Active Participation: All students are expected to complete the assigned reading before each class. Students should come prepared to contribute their own perspectives, raise questions, and discuss the potential application of the theories to their own interests or proposed research themes.

・章の後半では、具体的な作品につき「批評」が実践されている。なるべく取り上げられている作品にも当たること。
・文学・芸術作品や文化事象を批評的・分析的に考察するための方法論（道具立て）を、批評理論の基礎的な教科書を通じて体得する。
・学術的・論理的に書かれたテクストを精確に読み、要点を的確に抽出してレジュメを作成し、明晰かつ分かりやすく発表するスキルを身につける。
・相互尊重と論理的な思考に基づき、ディスカッションを通して理解と考察を共に深めていくことができるようになる。
・人文学研究のアプローチの種類を知ることで、先行研究の立脚する視点や方法論を的確に把握できるようになる。

・小倉孝誠編『批評理論を学ぶ人のために』（世界思想社、2023年）の輪読を行う。
・各章を受講生1〜2名が担当し発表を行う。発表担当者はレジュメを作成し報告を行う。その後、受講生全体で質疑応答やディスカッションを行う。
・受講生全員が課題となる章を事前に読み込み、自分なりの意見や質問、自身の関心・研究テーマ案への応用可能性を考えた上で授業に臨むことが求められる。
- Collaborative Reading of Foundational Critical Theory: The course will be conducted as a collaborative reading of "For Students of Critical Theory", edited by Kosei Ogura (in Japanese).
