- Mastery of Foundational Knowledge in Bodily Representation: To acquire a foundational system of knowledge necessary for interpreting and theorizing bodily representation.
- Critical Analysis of Social Norms and Construction: To recognize the relativity and social constructivism of norms surrounding the human body, physical appearance, and gender, and to develop the capacity for critical inquiry into these subjects.
This course explores the multifaceted nature of the human body, extending to the brain and nervous system. We will examine various themes, including the body's relationship with society and culture, its connection to identity, and the significance of bodily transformation and loss of function. Furthermore, the course delves into the conflict and fusion between self and other (including predation and parasitism), the deconstruction and circulation of the individual, and the continuity between distinct entities.

身体表象を読み解き、思考する上で基礎となる知識体系を体得する。わたしたちの身体や外見、ジェンダーをとりまく規範の相対性、構築性を知り、批判的に考察することができる。

社会・文化との関係、アイデンティティとの結びつき、身体の変容や機能喪失の意味、他者との拮抗と融合（捕食や寄生も含む）、個としての解体と循環、他の個体との連続性などのテーマを扱う。
