(1) To develop the ability to think through philosophical questions through a close reading of 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra' and discussion of Nietzsche's thought.
(2) Not only to acquire knowledge of the history of modern philosophy, but also to find philosophical questions that students should contemplate throughout their lives and to connect the study of philosophy with their own lives.
(3) To examine each other's values and beliefs and deepen self-awareness through dialogue on philosophical topics.
In this course, we will closely read Nietzsche's 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra,' a key work of modern philosophy on the subject of 'life,' and through discussion we will not only bring Nietzsche's difficult ideas to understanding, but also explore how we can relate the study of philosophy to our own lives.
Students are expected to read the designated sections of the literature in advance and to come to class prepared with philosophical questions they would like to discuss with classmates. Presenters will prepare handouts and summarize the contents of the literature (at least one presentation per person, schedule to be decided at the first class). After discussing the content of the literature, there will be time for dialogue on the students' philosophical questions.

テキスト読解の際に知らないことばが出てきたときに、事典、インターネットなどを活用して自分で意味を調べることができるリサーチ能力と、難解で理解しにくい文章に出逢ったときに、どこがわからないのかを考ええる粘り強い態度、わからないことをわからないと素直に言うことができる知的な誠実さ。
①『ツァラトゥストラはこう言った』を精読しながらニーチェの思想について議論することを通じて、哲学的な問いについて考え抜く力を育むこと
②近代哲学史の知識を獲得するだけでなく、各テーマについて各自が人生を通じて考えていくべき哲学的な問いを見つけ、哲学の学びと各自の生とを結びつけること
③哲学的なテーマについて対話することを通じて、各自の価値観や信念を吟味しあい、自己認識を深めること

この授業では、「生」を主題化した近代哲学の重要文献であるニーチェの『ツァラトゥストラはこう言った』を精読し、議論を通じてニーチェの難解な思想を理解へともたらすだけでなく、哲学の学びと各自の生とをどう関係づけるかを探求していきます。
受講生は文献の指定箇所をあらかじめ読み、哲学的な問いを準備して授業に参加してください。プレゼンテーション担当者は配布資料を準備し、文献の内容をまとめてくることが求められます（一人一回以上担当することとし、初回授業時にスケジュールを決定します）。授業では、文献の内容についての議論の後、受講生の問いについて対話する時間を設けます。
In this course, we will closely read Nietzsche's 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra,' a key work of modern philosophy on the subject of 'life,' and through discussion we will not only bring Nietzsche's difficult ideas to understanding, but also explore how we can relate the study of philosophy to our own lives.
Students are expected to read the designated sections of the literature in advance and to come to class prepared with philosophical questions they would like to discuss with classmates.
