【Course Objectives】

There is no other way to develop language skills than through a steady effort of repeated training in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, with exposure to a wide variety of text types. This course is designed for students who have completed the beginner level of Spanish, and will focus mainly on the reading of texts. The course will also provide an opportunity for students to become familiar with the unique expressions and phrases of the Spanish language, and to experience the appeal of the Spanish language itself, which differs from English in many ways.

【Course Contents】

Reading Spanish folktales and short stories to develop Spanish reading skills. The lessons will be conducted on the assumption that students have read the texts in advance. In the class, we will check the students' reading skills as we read the text, and explain how to translate the text appropriately and provide explanations of related expressions as necessary.
