- Acquisition of Fundamental Knowledge on the Body and Representation: To acquire a foundational knowledge base necessary for deciphering and theorizing the human body and its various forms of representation.
- Critical Analysis of Normativity and Social Construction: To understand the relativity and social constructivism of norms surrounding the body, physical appearance, and gender, and to develop the ability to examine these concepts through a critical lens.
- Development of Research and Academic Writing Skills: To cultivate the ability to identify research questions and think logically through the process of report writing, while mastering the essential skills and formal conventions of academic writing.
This course provides a foundational framework for analyzing the human body and its representations. By synthesizing concrete case studies with theoretical frameworks, students will develop a perspective that relativizes the "socially shared norms" regarding the body, physical appearance, gender, and sexuality.

| 講義の都度指示する。レポート執筆に際しては、河野哲也『レポート・論文の書き方入門』、佐藤望他『アカデミック・スキルズ』に準拠すること。 |
基本的に講義形式だが、授業の「問い」やテーマに対して、自ら問題意識を持ち、積極的に思考する態度が求められる。
・身体とその表象を読み解き、思考する上で基礎となる知識体系を体得している。
・わたしたちの身体や外見、ジェンダーをとりまく規範の相対性、構築性を知り、批判的に考察することができる。
・レポート作成を通して、問題発見能力、論理的思考能力、知的な文章を書く際のスキルとルールを身につける。

身体とその表象について、分析的に思考するための基礎を提示する。
身体や外観、ジェンダー、セクシュアリティ等に対する「社会で共有されている規範」を相対化する観点を、具体例と分析のための理論の双方を照らし合わせつつ学ぶ。
