Be conscious about the text of the novel. This will make your reading more complex and rich.
How did the text of the novel come about?
It was written by a writer, but in the novel, it exists not as a "written word" but as a "narrative" of someone.
What kind of act is narrate? How is it possible? And what exactly are the narrated words like?
Thinking about these things will also help you write a novel, read a novel, and think about what a novel is.
In class, we will think about some topics of text (person, point of view, tense, etc.). We are also planning a simple workshop to actually write short sentences (not novels). Also, actually read the short story and think about the structure of the narrative of the work.

小説の文章の様態について学び、意識的に注意深く小説を読んでみること。各自の読みをより複雑で豊かなものにすること。

本授業の講師（滝口）は、実作者として小説を書くうえでも、ひとの小説を読むうえでも、その言葉がどのように発生したか、を重視しています。
小説の言葉は書き手（小説家）によって書かれたものに他なりません。しかし、作品のなかにおいてそれは「書かれた言葉」ではなく、作中の何者かが「語る言葉」として存在しています。
小説を語る、とはどのような行為なのか。それはどのように可能なのか。そして語られた言葉はいったいどのような有り様をしているのか。それは文字なのか、音声なのか、そもそも誰に向かって語られているのか。
これらのことについて考えることは、自ずと、小説を書く、小説を読む、とはどのような行いであるか、小説とはなにか、を考えることにもなるはずです。
授業では、小説を書く／読むうえで手がかりとなるトピック（人称、視点、時制、表記法など）について具体的な例を挙げながら考えていきます。また、実際に短い文章（小説ではありません）を書く簡単なワークショップを予定しています。また、実際に短編作品を精読することで、作品の語りの構造について考え、読解を試みます。
