Through reading poetry,poetics specifically and understanding them,students will cultivate their thoughts about language and linguistic expressions.Students will experience various ways of linguistic expressions and deepen their understanding of language and literature.
Through reading poetry in Japanese from the Meiji period to present,thinking of the history of modern Japanese poetry,students will experience the possibility of Japanese poetry and linguistic expressions.Students will write their poems and works submitted will be read in class.

詩・詩論の読解と理解を通して各自の言語観を深める。詩の実作もおこない、言葉による表現について理解を深める。言語表現の多様な方法に触れて、言葉に関する理解を深める。

明治期から現在に至る近現代詩史をふまえながら、具体的に詩作品を読み、日本語の詩に迫り、詩歌が持つ可能性をめぐって考える。また、詩の実作（作品の執筆）とその講評も行う。
