Starting with the realization that gender, which is a social and cultural construct, dwells in the fine details of life, we will provide students with an opportunity to expand their thinking on gender diversity and human diversity.
This course’s lecturer is actually someone who changed his sex from female to male and became male on official Japanese census records (in the family register). Therefore, he has experienced not only a physical transition, but also the transition of gender itself. How did he change in the eyes of society from when he was a woman to when he became a man? What are the differences between a man's world and a woman’s world and which aspects are the same? The intention is for each lecture to be a rare experience-based lesson about gender.

社会的・文化的「性」であるジェンダーが生活の細部に宿るという気付きを始点とし，性の多様性，人間の多様性について考えを拡げる機会を提供する。

講師は実際に女から男に性別移行し，戸籍上も男になった者で，肉体だけではなくジェンダーそのものも移行する体験をした。身体が女であった時と男になった時，社会の眼はどう変わったか。女の世界と男の世界はどう違い，どう同じなのか。毎回が性別についての希有な体験授業であるような講義にしていきたい。
