This course is a required subject offered during the introductory phase of the curriculum for the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Global Business. The primary objective is to develop a solid foundation for further studies in the "developing" and "specialized/advanced" phases by mastering the fundamentals of economics, with a particular focus on microeconomics. Specifically, students are expected to: understand technical terms in economics and comprehend the mechanisms of the economy.
This course introduces the fundamentals of microeconomics. The curriculum focuses on the behavior of individual economic agents, exploring how consumers make purchasing decisions and how firms determine their production levels. Building on these foundations, students will learn about supply and demand, as well as the mechanisms of price determination. While the course utilizes graphs and mathematical formulas, it does not require advanced mathematics. Further details will be provided during the first lecture.

当科目は、経営学部経営学科および国際経営学科の教育課程における「導入期」の科目の1つであり、必修科目である。形成期、完成期における学習の基礎を醸成するため、経済学の基礎、特にミクロ経済学の基礎を身につけることを目標とする。具体的な目標は、経済学の専門用語を理解すること、そして経済の仕組みを理解することである。

ミクロ経済学の基礎を学ぶ。具体的内容は、消費者はどのように考えて消費行動をするのか、企業はどのようにして生産量を決めるのか等の消費者や企業の行動を中心に、需要と供給、そして価格決定のメカニズムを学ぶ。授業ではグラフや数式を用いるが、高度な数学は使わない。詳しくは授業内で説明する。
