備考/ NotesNotes |
Since the beginning of the millennium, global societies and economic systems have been going through major shifts and modifications in every aspect of life and work values. The processes of change are constantly accelerating since the crisis caused by the Covid pandemic, which led to fast increase in the usage of virtual tools and alternative work and business styles. Through famous case studies, workshops, and theories of social sciences and economy, the course introduces students to new forms of future businesses, key values of startups, and the most crucial problems facing global societies nowadays, such as waste, virtual consumption, and lack of sustainability.
The course presents a variety of new business models, various styles of work and employment, and creative opportunities for designing sustainable societies with a healthier lifestyle. As new values appear under the pressure of the virtual economy and the changing weather patterns, the pressure to adapt and offer solutions grows and becomes a survival necessity for the entire world. Through case studies and examples from the real world, the course provides an analysis of the extreme shifts and changes that social values and work styles have experienced over time, and the new forms of business management and ethics that are designed and established. The lessons present core issues that dominate the business world nowadays, such as the impact of advanced technology, changes in the global supply chains, the new geopolitical landscape, conflicts of ethics and sustainability, the changing map of shareholders, and more.
During the course, students will have an opportunity to develop and design their own business and learn specific skills that will be useful and valuable for their job hunting and actual future work.
