【Course Objectives】

The acceleration in the use of IT technologies, international expansion of businesses, and the increasing interdependence of national economies have further quickened the pace of the phenomenon of globalization which has led to the increased diversity of cultures in international business and societies. With the objective of preparing students for a career in international business or in international relations, this course aims at providing students with an understanding of issues relating to intercultural business management and of providing suggestions on what it takes to be able to successfully manage intercultural business issues.

【Course Contents】

The course will focus on the topics of culture, corporate strategy, leadership, and intercultural management. While the course will center around lectures, emphasis will be placed on in-class discussion regarding the lectures with students expected to provide feedback on their views and thoughts. Students will also be asked to make in-class presentations and submit a final report at the end of this course.
