Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Understand the core principles of a circular economy.
2. Analyze key elements of entrepreneurship.
3. Evaluate stakeholder communication and engagement including investment and community values.
4. Develop practical tools for circular economy implementation.
Compare international entrepreneurial strategies through CASE work.
Would you like to become an entrepreneur with a vision for a circular economy where the focus of your product is to rethink, refuse, re-use and recycle? This course introduces the key elements of entrepreneurship including founders’ ideas, background (ecosystem), their product or service (licenses), team organization and business model, stakeholder investment, policy and community values, role models and scaling prospects (business and culture). This course aims to provide students with the analytical concepts and practical tools that will enable them to realize their circular vision in entrepreneurship in various organizational and cultural contexts. Students will become experts in individual founder strategies through CASE work. The countries of comparisons are Columbia, the US, Senegal, Lebanon, Denmark, Indonesia and Japan.

Students have to read one chapter before each class and come prepared for discussions and presentations.After the class, students are given assignments and reactions 5 to 6 times to reflect back on their learning.
