This course aims to provide an understanding of the economic and business trends, through comprehensive topics of the recent business trends among Korean companies and industries operating in Japan, including key sectors such as retail, food, entertainment, and technology. Students will apply theoretical knowledge to real-world case studies, analyzing the strategies behind successful Korean businesses in Japan and the integration of Korean culture into the Japanese market.
1) This course analyzes cross-cultural business practices, by highlighting the unique business strategies and practices used by Korean companies to adapt to the Japanese market, overcoming cultural and economic challenges. 2) This course explores the influence of Korean culture in Japan. Students will examine the growing presence and influence of Korean culture in Japan, focusing on the cultural industries such as K-POP, Korean drama, and fashion, and how they are contributing to business opportunities in Japan. 3) This course helps students to get engaged with local Korean communities. Through the field trip, students will gain hands-on insights into the Korean community in Japan, learning about the local business environment, consumer behavior, and cultural exchanges between Korea and Japan.
This course will include frequent class discussions, and students are strongly encouraged to participate in the discussions.
