卒論演習は、現在までに学んできたファイナンス論の知識および日経ストックリーグにおけるレポート作成の経験を活かし、統計的な手法を用いながら高度な卒業論文の作成を目標とする。
In the dissertation seminar, students will write a graduation thesis based on a statistical analysis, utilizing the knowledge of finance theory and the experience of having completed an analyst report in the Nikkei Stock League during the last two years of seminars.
卒論演習では、1年間を通じて各自が研究テーマの設定、仮説の構築、データの収集、統計モデルの設定、モデルの推定、および仮説の検定を行い、最終的に卒業論文としてまとめる。卒業論文は原則として個人研究の成果として執筆するため，個々の学生に合わせた個別指導を行う。各自は作業の進捗状況を毎回のゼミにおいて報告し、統計的な分析手法や直面している課題の解決方法等について、教員からフィードバックを受ける。各自、教員からのフィードバックを参考にしながら、最終的な卒業論文の完成に向けて作業を進めていく。
In the dissertation seminar, each student sets his/her own research question, constructs hypotheses, collects relevant data, selects a statistical model, estimates the model, tests the hypotheses, and summarizes the main findings in a graduation thesis. Each student reports the progress of his/her work in each seminar, receives guidance and feedback from the advisor, and works independently toward the completion of a graduation thesis.
