Notes

【Course Objectives】

In Business Project (BP), students will review and apply the business and intercultural communication knowledge they have learned in their studies to solve business problems using a case study format, working online for a series of classes in a collaborative manner with international students from other universities.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to perform a variety of tasks related to project management, communication within international teams, and the demonstration of leadership capabilities:

- Develop techniques to effectively communicate business proposals
- Develop solutions to specific business problems by applying business frameworks and theories
- Develop leadership capability as a member of a diverse and international team

【Course Contents】

This is an all-English, student centered and project-based course. This course requires students to work collaboratively in international teams (using online group work at times), carrying out research to understand the case study challenge, then developing solutions to respond to the challenge from the case study.

Students are required to analyze business problems, develop solutions to these problems, and professionally present their solutions.

The specific class content changes every year depending on the specific case study. However, generally students will need to use theories and frameworks to carry out internal and external (industry, competitor) analyses of a client corporation, assess global entry strategies, and product offerings. They will generally be required to propose a solution to the case challenge which involves entering or developing a new overseas market.
