Based on Introductory Macroeconomics 1, this course aims to understand the developments in macroeconomics and how macroeconomics tries to respond to various modern macroeconomic problems.
Building on the understanding of the course Introductory Macroeconomics 1, Introductory Macroeconomics 2 will cover open macroeconomics, such as currency exchange rates, trade, and the international flow of funds. Students also learn about modern macroeconomic problems such as inflation/deflation, unemployment, and economic fluctuations. In addition, this course explains Solow's growth model and technological progress analysis.

現代社会を取り巻くさまざまな経済問題とかかわらせながら、現代マクロ経済学の基礎を学ぶ。マクロ経済学1を基礎に、現代的なマクロ経済学の展開と論争を追い、現代のさまざまな課題にたいしてマクロ経済学がどのように応えていこうとしているのかを理解することが目標である。
Based on Introductory Macroeconomics 1, this course aims to understand the developments in macroeconomics and how macroeconomics tries to respond to various modern macroeconomic problems.
マクロ経済学1の理解の上に立って、マクロ経済学2では、為替、貿易、資金の国際移動などといったオープンマクロ経済学、インフレ・デフレと失業、景気変動など現代的課題への対処、マクロ経済学の最近の展開等を扱う。また、いわゆるソローの成長モデルと技術進歩についても解説する。

マクロ経済学は理論を扱うため、理論的思考の積み重ねが重要である。毎回の講義の内容を十分な時間をかけて復習し理解していなければ、次回以降の講義が理解できなくなる。予習は、テキストの該当箇所を何度も読んでおくこと。また授業内で示される参考文献や資料も積極的に活用すること。
