The objective of this course is to understand various social problems that exist in modern society and to develop the ability to analyze them from an academic perspective, with a focus on political economy. The course welcomes students who are willing to enhance their ability to think and construct their own views on social issues.
The purpose of this class is to understand social problems, including labor, poverty, human rights, and environmental issues, from the perspective of political economy. The course begins with offering an explanation on the analytical framework of political economy. Then each social problem is analyzed theoretically from the interdisciplinary viewpoints of political economy, law and sociology. Handouts will be provided in this course and video materials will also be used accordingly.

The objective of this course is to understand various social problems that exist in modern society and to develop the ability to analyze them from an academic perspective, with a focus on political economy. The course welcomes students who are willing to enhance their ability to think and construct their own views on social issues.
この授業では、労働問題、貧困問題、人権問題、環境問題などの社会問題について、社会経済学の観点から理解することを目的とします。まず、社会経済学の分析視角について概説します。その上で、各社会問題について、テーマごとに問題の構図を解説するとともに、社会経済学を中心とした経済学に加え、法律学、社会学等の学際的な知見から理論的に分析します。
授業では主にレジュメ資料を用いますが、必要に応じて映像資料を用います。
