To be able to understand and critically examine existing analyses of urban and regional issues.
Students will be able to apply economics to logically analyze urban and regional issues.
We will analyze various problems of cities and regions where we live, with confirmation of microeconomics and public economics. We will give an overview of the "how" and "why" of regions and cities in Japan and around the world, and then explain in detail how land use in cities is determined. In the second half, after confirming the reasons why policy intervention is necessary, we will examine land and housing issues from both economics and policy perspectives.

・ミクロ経済学および経済数学の基本を習得しているか、履修中であることが望ましいが、授業内で必要に応じて解説する。
・グラフや図を用いて論理的な思考を積み重ねる姿勢が求められる。高校1年レベルの数式計算は頻出する。
ZoomとCanvas LMSを使用する。
テキストの数式の難しい部分は、必ずしも理解しなくてよいよう配慮する。
・都市や地域の問題に関する既存の分析を理解し、批判的に検討できるようになる。
・経済学を応用して都市や地域の問題について論理的に分析できるようになる。

ミクロ経済学、公共経済学の確認を交えつつ、私たちの住む都市・地域の諸問題について分析していく。日本や世界の地域・都市の「でき方」「仕組み」を概観した後、都市内の土地利用がどのようにして決まるのか、詳しく解明する。政策的介入が必要な理由を確認した後、土地問題、住宅問題を経済学、政策の面から考察する。
