By examining the economic policies that underpin China's high economic growth and social transformation and understanding how the Chinese government is responding to the socioeconomic problems that are becoming more complex with the deepening globalization, it is possible to correctly understand the diversity of relations between the market (economy) and the state (politics) and the characteristics of China.
While outlining the basic knowledge of economic policy theory, I will give a detailed lecture on China's socioeconomic policies from the perspectives of political economics and policy formulation. In particular, the current situation and challenges of policies concerning social security, energy and environmental issues, and social justice are explained in comparison with the case studies of developed countries such as Japan.

春学期に開講する『中国経済論』講義とあわせて受講することを推奨する。
中国の高い経済成長と社会変容を支える経済政策を考察し、グローバル化の深化に伴い複雑化する社会経済の諸問題について、中国政府がいかにして対応しているかを把握することを通じて、市場（経済）と国家（政治）の間の関係の多様性、および中国の特徴を正しく理解することができる。
By examining the economic policies that underpin China's high economic growth and social transformation and understanding how the Chinese government is responding to the socioeconomic problems that are becoming more complex with the deepening globalization, it is possible to correctly understand the diversity of relations between the market (economy) and the state (politics) and the characteristics of China.
経済政策論の基礎的知識を概括しつつ、中国の経済社会に関わる諸政策について、その内容、背景、影響、および課題を政治経済学や政策形成論の視点から詳細に講義する。特に、社会保障、エネルギー・環境問題、ならびに社会的公正を巡る政策の実態と課題について、日本などの先進国の事例と比較しながら解説する。
