Business accounting is an indispensable communication tool of business and is often expressed as business terminology. To use business accounting as a business language it is necessary to understand the rules that guide the creation of the financial statements and to appropriately understand the information they provide. The objective of this class is for students to learn the basic knowledge and technology of financial accounting covered in Financial Accounting 1 and to appropriately understand the contents of the accounting numerical information provided by the financial statements.
This class will cover accounting processes, including constructive contents, based on the fundamental financial accounting knowledge that was learned in Financial Accounting 1. Specifically, accounting for financial products, leases, retirement benefits, tax effect, business combinations, and consolidation will be covered and the corresponding basic accounting processing explained. The analysis techniques using financial indicators will also be explained to give students an eye for appropriately analyzing financial statements. In addition, since much of the content studied in Accounting 1 and 2 is included, there is also an element of review of important issues.

企業会計はビジネスに必須のコミュニケーション・ツールであり、しばしばビジネスの言語と表現される。企業会計をビジネスの言語として使いこなすためには、財務諸表がどのようなルールに基づいて作成されているのかを理解するとともに、それがどのような情報を提供しているのかを適切に理解する必要がある。この授業では、「財務会計1」で取り扱わなかった財務会計の基礎的な知識・技術を習得し、財務諸表によって提供される会計数値の情報内容を適切に理解することを目標とする。

この授業では、「財務会計1」で習得した財務会計の基礎知識を前提として、より発展的な内容を含む会計処理を取り扱う。具体的には、金融商品会計、リース会計、退職給付会計、税効果会計、企業結合会計、連結会計などを取りあげ、それらの基本的な会計処理を解説する。また、財務指標にもとづく分析手法についても解説し、財務諸表を適切に分析する眼を養う。なお、会計学1・2で学習した内容も多く含まれるため、重要論点の復習という要素もある。
