To understand that accounting is a highly social activity in the sense that it takes place among the stakeholders surrounding the company, such as the local community, and that relationships between people lie behind the accounting process.
Looking at different aspects of local communities through the lens of accountability. As the population continues to decline due to an ageing society with a declining birth rate, the deterioration of local communities, particularly in small and medium sized towns in rural areas, is becoming an increasingly serious problem. Using the mountain of problems facing the local community as a theme, the course will explore with participants who accounting is for and what accounting can (and cannot) do. I would like to develop "accounting studies open to local communities" in terms of each theory.

会計が、地域社会といった企業を取り巻くステークホルダーの間でも行われており、背後に人と人の関係が横たわっているという意味できわめて社会的な行為であることを理解する。
To understand that accounting is a highly social activity in the sense that it takes place among the stakeholders surrounding the company, such as the local community, and that relationships between people lie behind the accounting process.
地域社会の諸相にアカウンタビリティ（会計報告責任）を切り口にしてアプローチする。少子高齢化による人口減少に歯止めがかからない中で、地域社会の疲弊、とりわけ地方中小都市の衰退は、ますます深刻な問題となっている。山積する地域社会の問題を題材として、会計は誰のために行われるのか、会計に何ができるのか（できないのか）を、受講者と一緒に検討する。「地域社会に開かれた会計学」を各論的に展開したい。
