b) Students will be able to critically analyze a topic in class discussions and assignments.
c) Students will have the opportunity to analyze key economic problems by applying theories and concepts covered in the course.
Economics considers how businesses, governments, and individuals allocate their scarce resources for production, distribution, and consumption. This introductory course covers the basic concepts and theories and examines how they function in current events. This course focuses on microeconomics and includes the basic components of macroeconomics. This course consists of lectures and class discussions, in which students are expected to actively participate. The order of topics may be adjusted to maximize learning outcomes.
