The goal of this seminar is for students to understand phenomena related to corporate strategic behavior such as the international division of labor and the restructuring in business using theoretical frames of economics and business administration, for example comparative advantage and foreign direct investment, and to be able to explain them in their own words.
The students will develop the ability to research, analysis, and presentation through readings, case studies and the other group work. The literature to be used and the companies to be covered will be determined in consultation with the students. While students will have opportunities to supplement their basic knowledge of economics, business administration, etc., in the seminar, we believe that an attitude of cooperation with other members is essential, as group activities are the main focus of the program.

本演習の目標は、経済学や経営学の理論フレームを用いて、国際分業やそれに伴う事業構造の変化などといった企業の戦略的行動に関する現象について、比較優位や直接投資などといった理論的なフレームを用いて、自分のことばで解説が出来るようになることです。

本演習では、輪読やケーススタディ、グループワークなどを通じて、受講生が自ら調べ、考え、そしてそれを伝えるための力を養います。使用する文献や対象とする企業は、受講生と相談のうえ決定する予定です。経済学や経営学など、必要となる基礎的な知識は演習のなかで補う機会を設けますが、グループでの活動が中心となるため、他のメンバーと協調する姿勢は必須のものと考えます。
