This course focuses on corporate finance and aims to develop skills in presentation, discussion, report writing, and data analysis.
Understanding the characteristics and challenges of corporate finance in Japanese companies provides insight into the trial-and-error processes these companies underwent following the burst of the economic bubble. This knowledge is essential for navigating the professional world after graduation. We hope you will participate in this seminar with a clear sense of purpose, taking into account your own career aspirations.
In this seminar, we will conduct a group reading of fundamental texts related to the above theme and learn methods of empirical analysis. Evaluation will be based on the following points:
Whether the key points of the texts are accurately understood,
Whether the presentation is well-structured and includes efforts to clearly communicate the content, and Whether additional information (beyond what is covered in the text) that provides new insights to seminar participants is included.
In the latter half of the course, students will use the foundational knowledge acquired to conduct group research projects. The results will be presented at joint seminars with other universities. Students will then refine their presentations and compile their findings into a final report as part of their seminar completion requirements.

This course focuses on corporate finance and aims to develop skills in presentation, discussion, report writing, and data analysis.
日本企業のコーポレートファイナンスの特徴や課題を知ることは、バブル崩壊後の企業の試行錯誤の軌跡を追うことにも通じ、これから皆さんが実社会に出て働いていく上で必須の知識と言えます。自らの希望進路を踏まえ、目的意識を持って参加してくれることを期待しています。
本ゼミでは、上記テーマに関する基本的なテキストを輪読するとともに、実証分析の方法について学んでいきます。評価のポイントとしては、①テキストの要点について的確に押えられているか、②報告の内容について自ら組み立て、分かりやすく伝えようとする工夫が見られるか、③ゼミ参加者に新たな知見を提供しうるような、（テキストで述べられている以外の）追加的な情報があるか、などが挙げられます。
さらに後期には、それまでに習得した基礎知識を前提にグループで調査活動を行い、その成果を他大学との合同ゼミで発表してもらうことを予定しています。さらに、そこでの報告内容をブラッシュアップして、修了レポートへとまとめてもらいます。
