To identify the issues and problems facing Japanese industry and take on the challenge to propose solutions. To do this, students will study economics and business management and conduct fieldwork, etc. Intercollegiate presentation and paper submission will be done for the research results. The objective is to discover themes that can contribute to society and then produce research results that will be highly evaluated.
In this seminar, students will be divided into several teams to conduct analysis of specific industries. Which industries will be researched will be discussed with the students. Students will read the various literature specified by the instructor to acquire the knowledge necessary for each of the stages of gathering related information, organizing the information, identifying issues, and proposing solutions. Correctly understanding the literature will foster the ability to think logically.
This seminar will focus on learning through group work. I also want students to acquire communication ability and organization operational know-how through such activities as intercollegiate presentations and fieldwork. These are some of the abilities required to perform well in society.

ゼミナールAでは、輪読やディベート、グループワークなどに従事することによって、プレゼンテーション、ディスカッション、ディベートなどのアカデミックスキルズの向上を目指します。
本ゼミナールのテーマは、現代日本の産業研究です。日本の産業が直面している課題や問題点を発見し、解決策を提案することを目標にします。そのため、経済学や経営学を学ぶとともに、フィールドワークなどを実施します。研究成果は、討論会での発表や論文投稿をおこないます。社会に貢献できるテーマを発見し、高く評価される研究成果を得ることを目指します。

本ゼミナールでは、いくつかのチームに分かれ、特定の産業に関する分析をおこないます。どの産業を研究するかは、受講者と相談して決定します。関連する情報を収集すること、情報を整理すること、課題を発見すること、解決策を提案することといった各段階で必要な知識は、担当者が指定する様々な文献を通じて学習します。文献を正確に理解することで、論理的思考力を伸ばします。
本ゼミでは、グループワークを通じた学習を重視しています。討論会での研究成果の発表、フィールドワークといった活動を通じて、組織運営のノウハウやコミュニケーション能力を獲得することができます。こうした能力は、社会で活躍するために必要な能力のひとつだと考えています。
