【Course Objectives】

To understand cutting-edge life sciences and basic medicine, fundamental knowledge of molecular biology in eukaryotic organisms is essential. This lecture aims to impart basic knowledge of gene expression control in eukaryotic organisms.

【Course Contents】

The basic mechanisms of gene expression in eukaryotic organisms, specifically detailing chromatin-level regulation through histone modifications, epigenetics, and expression control by non-coding RNAs, will be elucidated. Additionally, this lecture will cover the use of molecular genetics in animal experiments, human molecular genetics, and the signaling pathways regulating transcription. Furthermore, a clear explanation will be provided on how these mechanisms are intricately involved in life phenomena such as embryonic development, cell differentiation, morphogenesis, and their relevance to diseases.
