To be able to explain in detail how life science knowledge and medical technology affect human life and modern society. Understand the basic issues and scientific background of bioethics from the perspective of human biology, acquire basic knowledge of bioethics, and present opinions and ideas with evidence in discussions.
The 21st century is said to be the age of bioscience; since the discovery of the structure of DNA, biology and medicine have been rapidly transformed and have had a great impact on society, but the structure of society and the way people think have not changed so rapidly. The goal is for students to be able to understand that ethics has existed since ancient times, but that new bioethics has become necessary as life sciences and medical technology have advanced.Also to be able to think for themselves and exchange opinions with people around them on the nature of society and human existence in the future, based on evidence.

ヒトにかかわる⽣命科学的知識や医療技術が⼈間の生命や現代社会にどのように影響するか具体的に説明できる。⼈間⽣物学的観点から⽣命倫理の基本課題と科学的背景を理解し,生命倫理の基礎知識を⾝に付け，議論の場で根拠をもって意見や考えを発信できる。
To be able to explain in detail how life science knowledge and medical technology affect human life and modern society. Understand the basic issues and scientific background of bioethics from the perspective of human biology, acquire basic knowledge of bioethics, and present opinions and ideas with evidence in discussions.
21世紀はバイオサイエンスの時代と言われている。DNA構造の発見以来、生物学や医学は急速に変貌し、社会に大きな影響を与えてきたが、社会の仕組みや人々の考え方はそれほど急激に変わるわけではない。倫理学は古代から存在するが、生命科学や医療技術の進展に伴って新しく生命倫理が必要となってきたことを理解できるようになることを目指す。これからの社会の在り方や人間存在について、自ら考え、根拠をもって周囲の人々と意見を交わすことができるようになることを目標とする。
講義形式で行う。
