Through small-group work, students will experience their own leadership styles and learn fundamental skills in leadership, team building, communication, and collaboration essential for independent learning in the College of Environmental Studies. This course provides a vital foundation for successfully transitioning into the specialized subjects offered by the College.
Students will primarily engage in projects where they propose plans to actual issues in small groups, with debriefing sessions.
(1) Experience firsthand how to exercise leadership in your own way through group work.
(2) Experience the process of reaching conclusions through team discussion and learn how to engage in productive discussion.
(3) Practice gathering necessary information to support your arguments and structuring opinions and proposals.
(4) Learn how to construct presentations that persuade your audience, not just state your points.
(5) Reflect on the planning proposal project activities, considering what kind of teamwork was necessary to achieve results as a group and how each individual should have engaged with the team.

前回の授業内を理解していることを前提で次の授業が組まれており、提出された課題をもとにクラス内で学び合う授業なので課題提出は必須である。
また、毎回の授業がプレゼンテーションへのステップとなるので、特別な理由がない限り毎回授業に出席すること。欠席したとしても必ず課題を提出すること。
課題やチームでのグループワークで週に2～3時間程度は必要となる。

少人数のグループワークを通じて、自分なりのリーダーシップの発揮方法を体感し、環境学部で自律的に学修していくために必要となるリーダーシップ、チーム・ビルディング、コミュニケーション、協働に関わる基礎的なスキルを学ぶことを目標とする。環境学部の専門科目への円滑な導入の基礎となる重要な科目である。

実際の組織に対して、少人数のグループ単位で企画提案を行うプロジェクトと、その振り返りが授業の中心となる。
(1) グループワークを通じて、自分なりのリーダーシップの発揮方法を体感する。
(2) チームで議論しながら結論を導くプロセスを体験し、生産的な議論のしかたを学ぶ。
(3) 自分の主張を裏付けるために必要な情報を収集し、意見や提案を構成する練習を行なう。
(4) 言いたいことを言うだけではなく、聞き手を説得できるプレゼンテーションを構成する方法を習得する。
(5) 企画提案プロジェクトの活動を振り返り、グループとして成果をあげるにはどのようなチームワークが必要だったか、個人としてチームにどのように関わるべきだったかについて考える。
