This course will teach basic concepts and analytical methods for interpreting materials and data related to social surveys. Students will learn various qualitative data collection and analysis methods, and be able to put qualitative research into practice and compile research findings.
This course covers a variety of qualitative research methods, including interviews, fieldwork and conversation analysis. By examining the methodologies used in research cases across various fields in sociology, students will develop an analytical attitude towards qualitative data.

社会調査にかかわる資料とデータを読み解くための、基本的な考え方と分析法を学ぶ。さまざまな質的データの収集や分析方法を学習し、質的研究を実践し研究成果をまとめることができるようにする。

本講義では、インタビュー、フィールドワーク、会話分析などを含む多様な質的研究法について学習する。社会学の諸領域における研究事例において利用されている方法論を検討し、データに対する分析的態度を得ることを目指す。
