The purpose of this course is to acquire basic ideas on sociology and qualitative research methods by reading the literature. Participants are also required to learn how to read literature.
First, participants will read the qualitative research part of the introductory book on sociology. Next, we will select some from the literature introduced there, and read it carefully. The introductory book is listed in the "Textbook" section, and the candidate references for careful reading are listed in the "Readings" section. Details will be explained in the first lecture.

文献講読を通じて、社会学、とくに質的研究法を用いる社会学の基礎的な考え方を学ぶ。同時に、文献の読解法と演習の作法を身につける。
The purpose of this course is to acquire basic ideas on sociology and qualitative research methods by reading the literature. Participants are also required to learn how to read literature.
まず、社会学の入門書の質的研究パートを読み、そこで紹介されている文献の中から、参加者との議論の上でいくつか選定して、精読を行う。入門書は、テキスト欄に、精読候補文献は、参考文献欄にあげておく。詳細は、最初の授業時に説明する。
授業は、報告者、討論者、司会者の役割を分担して行う。文献の読み方、レジュメの作り方、コメントの仕方、議論の仕方などもあわせて学ぶ。
First, participants will read the qualitative research part of the introductory book on sociology. Next, we will select some from the literature introduced there, and read it carefully.
