・Students will be able to understand and explain what kind of academic field the sociology of welfare is.
・Students will be able to understand and explain important keywords when considering community welfare.
・Students will be able to have the motivation, targets, and methods for participating in specific welfare community activities.
Currently, there is a demand for the improvement of welfare in local communities. Based on the revised Social Welfare Act from 2018, the necessity of "community coexistence society" and "our whole business" has been called for. However, the core local community is facing a declining birthrate and aging population, and there are even calls for its "possibility of disappearance." How should the state, local governments, local communities, private organizations, professionals, volunteers, etc. be involved and cooperate with each other? With an eye on the time span of modern times and the international community, we will focus on the exclusionary function of welfare and consider the form of social work (social change, social development, social cohesion + consultation and assistance) in the community, mainly from the perspective of minorities.

基本資料は事前に配信するので、授業にはPC・iPad等、適当なディバイスを持参して臨むこと
シラバス執筆時点（2026年1月）から内容に変更があった場合は、Canvas-LMS内にて伝達するので注意すること。また、授業内でも適宜、アナウンスする。
・福祉社会学とはどのような学問分野であるのかについて理解し説明することができる。
・地域福祉を考察する上で重要となるキーワードについて理解し説明することができる。
・具体的な福祉コミュニティ活動に参与する動機、対象、方法を持てるようになる。

現在、地域社会における福祉の充実が求められている。2018年から改正社会福祉法に基づき、「地域共生社会」「我が事、丸ごと」の必要性が叫ばれている。とはいえ、核となる地域社会は少子高齢化が進み、「消滅可能性」すら叫ばれている。国、自治体、地域社会、民間組織、専門職、ボランティアなどがどのように関わり、どのように連携することが適切なのか。近現代という時間幅や国際社会も見据えながら、福祉・包摂の持つ排除機能に着目し、主にマイノリティの視点から、コミュニティにおけるソーシャルワーク（社会変革・社会開発・社会結束＋相談援助）の在り方について考えていく。
