While keywords such as "diversity" and "multicultural coexistence" are overused, in the real world, serious discrimination and human rights violations such as hate speech and microaggressions occur. How can we build strong symbiotic relationships in international and local relationships? To do so, it is necessary to learn from the various social practices of people who have been considered "minorities" and understand their visions, methods, and mentalities for the future society. In this class, as a seminar activity, we will approach minority-related issues from various angles, and aim to develop the skills required for graduation research through group activities and individual research.
We will understand the development of social movements and daily life related to minorities, particularly people with disabilities, sexual minorities, Burakumin, foreigners, and sick people, from both a historical and contemporary perspective. We will organize and interpret research materials for this purpose and learn basic perspectives. We will also incorporate fieldwork and project-based group work to the extent possible and go to the field. Through these, we will also improve our methodological skills in social research.
In Specialized Seminar A, seminar students will read and report on textbooks, and the aim is to obtain a basic perspective on the social practices of minorities.
In Specialized Seminar B, students will set a theme based on their own awareness of the issues and deepen their individual research in preparation for writing a report.
Through these, students will form an awareness of issues, set goals, and acquire skills in order to complete their graduation research.

「ダイバーシティ」や「多文化共生」といったキーワードが過剰に取り上げられる一方で、現実の社会では、ヘイトスピーチやマイクロアグレッション等、深刻な差別・人権侵害が生じている。私たちは、国際的且つ地域的な関係の中で、どのように強靭な共生関係を築いていくことができるのか。そのためには、「マイノリティ」とされてきた人々の様々な社会実践に学び、未来社会への構想・方法・心性を理解していくことが必要である。本授業では、ゼミ活動として、マイノリティに関わる諸問題に様々な角度からアプローチし、グループ活動と個人研究を通じて、卒業論文作成に向けた力を養うことを目標とする。

マイノリティ―特に、障害者、性的マイノリティ、部落民、外国人、病者等―に関わる社会運動と日常生活の展開について、歴史的且つ現代的に理解する。そのための研究資料を整理・読解していき、基本的視角を学ぶ。可能な範囲で、フィールドワークやプロジェクトベースのグループワークも取り入れ、現場にも出かけ、当事者と出会う。それらを通じて、社会調査の方法論上のスキルも向上させていく。
専門演習２Aでは、ゼミ生がテキストの講読、報告を行い、マイノリティの社会実践に関する基本的視角を得ることを基本とする。
専門演習２Bでは、各自の問題意識に基づきテーマ設定を行い、報告書の作成に向けて、個人研究を深めていく。
これらを通じて、卒業論文の完成に向けた問題意識の形成、課題の設定、スキルの体得を行う。
