【授業の目標 / Course Objectives】

「ダイバーシティ」や「多文化共生」といったキーワードが過剰に取り上げられる一方で、現実の社会では、ヘイトスピーチやマイクロアグレッション等、深刻な差別・人権侵害が生じている。私たちは、国際的且つ地域的な関係の中で、どのように強靭な共生関係を築いていくことができるのか。そのためには、「マイノリティ」とされてきた人々の様々な社会実践に学び、未来社会への構想・方法・心性を理解していくことが必要である。本授業では、ゼミ活動として、マイノリティに関わる諸問題に様々な角度からアプローチし、グループ活動（共同調査・ゼミ合宿）と個人研究を通じて、卒業論文作成に向けた力（3年生論文）を養うことを目標とする。

While keywords such as “diversity” and “multicultural coexistence” are frequently highlighted, serious forms of discrimination and human rights violations—such as hate speech and microaggressions—continue to occur in real-world society. How can we build resilient, coexistent relationships within both international and local contexts? To achieve this, we must learn from the diverse social practices of those who have been labeled “minorities” and gain an understanding of their visions, methods, and mindset for the future society. In this course, through seminar activities, we will approach various issues related to minorities from multiple perspectives. Through group activities (joint research and seminar retreats) and individual research, the goal is to develop the skills necessary for writing a senior thesis (third-year thesis).

【授業の内容 / Course Contents】

マイノリティ―特に、障害者、性的マイノリティ、部落民、外国人、病者等―に関わる社会運動と日常生活の展開について、歴史的且つ現代的に理解する。そのための研究資料を整理・読解していき、基本的視角を学ぶ。フィールドワークやプロジェクトベースのグループワークも取り入れ、現場にも出かけ、当事者と出会う。それらを通じて、社会調査の方法論上のスキルも向上させていく。
専門演習２Aでは、ゼミ生がテキストの講読、報告を行い、マイノリティの社会実践に関する基本的視角を得ることを基本とする。そして、個人研究のテーマを絞っていく。
専門演習２Bでは、各自の問題意識に基づきテーマ設定を行い、報告書の作成（3年生論文）に向けて、個人研究を深めていく。
これらを通じて、卒業論文の完成に向けた問題意識の形成、課題の設定、スキルの体得を行う。

Students will gain a historical and contemporary understanding of social movements and daily life as they relate to minorities—particularly people with disabilities, sexual minorities, members of the Buraku community, foreign nationals, and people with illnesses. To this end, students will organize and analyze research materials to learn fundamental perspectives. The course will also incorporate fieldwork and project-based group work, including visits to actual sites to meet with those directly affected. Through these activities, students will enhance their methodological skills in social research.
In Seminar 2A, students will primarily engage in reading and presenting on assigned texts to gain a basic perspective on the social practices of minorities. They will also begin to narrow down the focus of their individual research topics.
In Seminar 2B, students will set their own research topics based on their individual research interests and deepen their individual research in preparation for writing their third-year thesis.
Through these activities, students will develop their research focus, define their research questions, and acquire the skills necessary to complete their graduation thesis.
