Students will learn how to write a social science thesis and lay the groundwork for writing a graduation thesis, such as setting a theme and designing a research project.
In this course, students will first learn the basics of thesis writing, such as what a thesis is and how to write a social science thesis.
Then, through discussion, students will develop their own theme, methodology, critical review of previous research, and other aspects of research design for their graduation theses.

社会科学の論文の作法を学び、テーマ設定、調査設計といった卒業論文を執筆するための土台を整える。
Students will learn how to write a social science thesis and lay the groundwork for writing a graduation thesis, such as setting a theme and designing a research project.
本講義ではまず、論文とは何か、社会科学の論文の作法とは何か、といった論文執筆の基礎を確認する。そして受講者各自のテーマ設定、方法論、先行研究の批判的検討など卒業論文の調査設計に関わることを、ディスカッションを通して練り上げていく。
In this course, students will first learn the basics of thesis writing, such as what a thesis is and how to write a social science thesis.
Then, through discussion, students will develop their own theme, methodology, critical review of previous research, and other aspects of research design for their graduation theses.
