This course will teach basic concepts and analytical methods for interpreting materials and data related to social surveys. Students will learn various qualitative data collection and analysis methods, and be able to put qualitative research into practice and compile research findings.
This course introduces qualitative social research methodologies such as interview surveys, participant observation, and content analysis. Students will learn the entire qualitative research process, from planning and conducting the survey to analyzing the data and reporting, and deepen their understanding of the methodologies.

この授業では、インタビュー調査等、受講生が調査を企画、実施する機会がある。設定した調査対象者によっては調査が授業時間外となる場合があり得る。企画段階からその点もふまえたうえで、対象と方法を検討してもらう予定である。

社会調査にかかわる資料とデータを読み解くための、基本的な考え方と分析法を学ぶ。さまざまな質的データの収集や分析方法を学習し、質的研究を実践し研究成果をまとめることができるようにする。

インタビュー調査や参与観察法、内容分析など、主に質的データを取り扱う社会調査の方法を学ぶ。調査の企画から実施、調査結果のまとめ、報告までの質的研究のプロセスを、実践を通して学び、方法論の理解を深めていく。
