This course examines the relationship between daily life and the environment from a historical perspective, focusing on themes such as changes in food, resources, and energy accompanying modernization, as well as urbanization and aging populations.
Students will research and present the environmental history of a region using maps, aerial photographs, statistical data, and other materials, then engage in discussion.

・近代化に伴う人びとの暮らしの変化、社会と環境の関係の変遷について理解する。
・近代以降の化石燃料や化学物質の利用によって、生活の利便性と物質循環がどのように変化してきたのかを説明できる。
・地図や空中写真、歴史統計などの史資料を用いて、地域環境の変化を読み取ることができる。
・くらしの環境の歴史的な理解をもとに、これからの生活のあり方について、自分の考えを持つ。

近代化に伴う食・資源・エネルギー等の変化や、都市化・高齢化などをテーマに、生活と環境の関係を歴史的に考察します。
地図、空中写真、統計資料などを用いて地域の環境史を自分で調べ、学生による発表と討論もおこないます。
This course examines the relationship between daily life and the environment from a historical perspective, focusing on themes such as changes in food, resources, and energy accompanying modernization, as well as urbanization and aging populations.
