Students will read specialized literatures to acquire basic knowledge and thoughts about media sociology, while acquiring seminar methodology.
In Seminar (2nd year), students will read various literatures on media sociology to learn basic subjects systematically, broaden and deepen their issue awareness. What does it mean to learn about media? What is the breadth of media research? What is the method to research media? Students will improve their ability to read basic literatures. Through seminar learning, students will acquire skills required in future researches (learning) such as writing summary, making presentation, and discussing. Students will use universal materials for Seminar (2nd year) of Department of Communication and Media Studies.

専門的な文献の講読を通じて、メディア社会学の基礎的な知識や考え方を学ぶとともに、少人数の演習で資料作成・プレゼンテーション・議論の方法を身につける。
Students will read specialized literatures to acquire basic knowledge and thoughts about media sociology, while acquiring seminar methodology.
専門演習１では、メディア社会学に関する様々な文献を講読し、メディアを学ぶとはどういうことか、メディア研究にはどのような広がりがあるのか、メディア研究の方法は何か、といった基礎的な事柄を体系的に学び、自らの問題関心を広げ、深めていく。基本的な文献をきちんと読む能力を高めるとともに、ゼミ形式の演習の中で、レジュメの書き方、発表の仕方、ディスカッションの方法など、今後の研究（学び）のために必要な基礎的能力を身につける。なお、前半はメディア社会学科「専門演習１」共通素材を、後半は本ゼミ独自のテキストを使用する。本ゼミでこれまで講読した独自テキストは下記「参考文献」に記載。
