備考/ NotesNotes |
This course will introduce students to gender studies, from feminism to queer studies. It will explore concepts of gender in multiple disciplines, such as psychology, sociology, and anthropology.
By understanding the foundations of gender as a theoretical framework and applying them to real-life situations, the students will identify, think critically, and reflect on how gender as a social construct has evolved historically and culturally. The topics vary depending on the student’s interests and English language proficiency.
The course will be in English and student-centered through active learning. The students are requested to create a safe space to think critically, respectfully share opinions, and actively participate by reading the assigned texts, watching videos, engaging in discussions, collaborating with their classmates, giving presentations using PowerPoint slides or videos, writing research proposals, and receiving and giving feedback.
