By the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Recognize the fundamental structures and conventions of academic writing in English.
2. Produce clear thesis statements and logically organized paragraphs.
3. Strengthen their skills in summarizing and paraphrasing academic sources.
4. Apply appropriate referencing practices when incorporating evidence.
5. Develop confidence in presenting ideas orally in academic settings.
6. Engage with global themes and perspectives through academic communication.
7. Reflect on their development as writers and communicators in English.
This course provides an introduction to academic writing and presentation in English within an international and interdisciplinary context. Students will explore how academic communication functions across cultural and social boundaries.
Through guided exercises, reading activities, and collaborative discussion, students will practice organizing ideas, paraphrasing sources, and supporting arguments with appropriate evidence. Attention will also be given to reflective learning practices, allowing students to track their development as academic writers throughout the semester.

| Classes combine brief lectures, structured writing practice, peer interaction, and group discussion. Students will participate in guided activities designed to develop academic writing skills step by step. The course emphasizes active engagement with texts, iterative revision, and constructive feedback as key elements of academic writing development. |
Students are expected to complete assigned readings and writing exercises before each class session and review feedback on their written work.
