The objective of this course is to introduce key concepts of urban sociology.
What features does urban society have? What kind of change has urban society made, and what is the future of it? The class will examine the present and future of urban society from the viewpoint of urban sociology.

都市社会を捉えるための基本的な視点と方法を学ぶことを通して、自らが生きる場としての都市について考える力を養う。
The objective of this course is to introduce key concepts of urban sociology.
都市という社会は、どのような特徴を持ち、どのような変化を遂げてきたのか。そしてどこに向かおうとしているのか。このことを捉えるための視点と方法を、都市社会学が蓄積してきた知見と方法を中心に検討していく。授業計画は以下を予定しているが受講生の関心などに応じて変更することもある。
What features does urban society have? What kind of change has urban society made, and what is the future of it? The class will examine the present and future of urban society from the viewpoint of urban sociology.

1)当然のことではあるが、遅刻・早退をしないこと、私語をしないことなど、受講マナーを守ること。マナーを守らない受講生については厳しく対応する。
2)授業内で学生間の話し合いなどの時間を設けることがある。主体的・積極的に参加すること
3)毎回リアクションペーパーの提出を求める。意見・感想・質問などを自由に記入して提出すること。寄せられた内容については授業内で適宜コメントする。
