An overview and sociological study of contemporary religion and spirituality.
What is the social influence of religion today? Are the Japanese people non-religious? How do we understand the phenomena on the borderline between religion and non-religion? This course aims to be an introduction to the sociology of religion by taking a multifaceted look at these issues. As a rule, powerpoint slides will not be handed out.

現代における宗教の社会的影響力とは何か？ 日本人は無宗教なのか？ 宗教と非宗教の境界線上にある現象をどうとらえるのか？ こうした問題を多角的にとらえ，宗教社会学のわかりやすい入門編になることを目指す。授業スライドの配付は、原則としておこなわないものとする。
