In Japan, where rapid changes in social structures such as declining birthrates, population aging, and population decrease are progressing, a wide range of issues have become evident in various communities, not only in urban and rural areas but across society as a whole.
This course aims to help students understand the social structures and social relationships underlying issues in local communities, and to develop a perspective that enables them to examine these issues from multiple angles. Furthermore, the course focuses on individuals and organizations engaged in addressing challenges faced by local communities, with the objective of deepening students’ understanding of their initiatives.
The course will be conducted primarily in a lecture format. In order to clarify the actual conditions and realities of local communities, videos and other materials will be used, and special lectures will be delivered by guest speakers who are actively involved in local communities. As appropriate, group discussions and group work will also be incorporated into the class.

本講義では,特定の専門知識や技能を事前に修得していることは求めないが,社会や地域に関する諸課題に関心を持ち,授業内容を自ら考え,整理しようとする姿勢が求められる.また,文献や事例を読み取り,他者の意見を理解した上で自分の考えを言語化する読解力および思考力を有していることが望ましい.
リアクションシートとして「googleフォーム」を使用するため，googleのアカウントの取得が望ましい.
授業の展開により，内容に若干の変更があり得る.
授業では発表を含むグループワークを行う予定なので，積極的な受講態度が期待される.
少子化や高齢化,人口減少などの急速な社会構造の変化が進むわが国では,都市や農村といった特定の地域に限らず,さまざまなコミュニティにおいて多様な課題が顕在化している.本講義では,地域コミュニティにおける問題の背景にある社会構造や社会関係を理解し,課題を多角的に捉える視野を身につけることを目指す.さらに,地域コミュニティの課題解決に向けて活動する人びとや組織に着目し,その取組みについて理解を深めることを目的とする.

基本的に講義形式で実施する.また地域コミュニティの実態や実情を明らかにするために，映像や資料等を利用するとともに，地域コミュニティで活躍するゲストスピーカーによる特別講演を実施する.適宜,授業内でグループディスカッションやグループワークを実施する.
