The purpose of this class is to understand social phenomena surrounding globalization and sociological basic concepts for understanding social and global fluctuations, and to acquire basic knowledge and perspective for interpreting cultural phenomena in the Internet and digital age. This class is positioned as a cross-area subject in each department and course of the sociology department in the organization of the curriculum, and is set as a common class to cultivate the ability to "discover, analyze, and recommend" in the degree award policy.
Globalization has been a basic trend in modern society. In this class, it will be explained the basic structure of social change with a recognition framework in sociology and then try to interpret current global issues based on the framework.

しょうがいを持つ学生については、その様態と程度に応じて、履修に支障がない配慮を行いたい。さらに、授業アンケートの結果に即して、必要に応じた授業改善を行うように努めたい。
グローバル化をめぐる社会現象、社会と世界をめぐる変動を理解していくための社会学的基礎概念を理解するとともに、インタネットとデジタル時代における文化現象を解釈していくための基礎知識や視座を身に着けることを目的とする。この科目は、教育課程の編成において、社会学部の各学科およびコースにおける領域横断的な科目として位置づけられ、学位授与方針における「発見・分析・提言」の能力を培う共通科目として設定されている。

グローバル化が現代社会における基本的な趨勢であることが確認されてから久しい。この講義では、社会学においてグローバルな認識枠組を提供してくれる社会変動の基本的な構成を解説したうえで、それに依拠してグローバルな問題について検討する。
