To develop a sociological understanding of education in contemporary society.
1.Understand and explain the current state and key challenges of education in contemporary society.
2.Articulate and express one's own perspectives on various topics related to education and society.
In contemporary society, a reciprocal relationship exists between education and society, with each shaping the other. Centered on the social functions of education, this course examines various aspects of this dynamic to cultivate diverse, critical perspectives on society.

現代社会では、教育が社会の影響を受けるとともに、教育が社会に影響を与えるという関係にある。この講義では、教育の社会的機能を中心に、教育のさまざまな側面から教育と社会の関係を理解し、社会に対する多角的な視点を獲得できるよう授業を展開する。
