This introductory class aims to develop foundational proficiency in Chinese language usage for beginners. It focuses on fostering an understanding of the language's characteristics and aims to enable students to use the four essential skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—at a basic level.
Continuing from Communication Seminar 1 in the spring semester, this course will take a comprehensive approach focusing on grammar to further improve the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking in Chinese language learning. In the middle of the semester, every student will prepare a composition in advance based on topics specified by the instructor and deliver a presentation in class. Throughout the course, students are required to participate in activities such as pair work, groupwork and quizzes.

授業終了時にHSK４級、中検定3級、CEFR B1レベルに達する力を身につけることを目指す。
本科目を自動登録で履修する学生は、原則として、言語Bの必修科目（週2回）と合わせて、週に3回中国語の授業を履修します。科目コード登録で履修する学生は、この点をふまえた上で登録すること。
中国語の総合的な運用能力の基礎を身につける入門クラス。春学期に引き続き、中国語に初めて接する人が、その特徴を理解し、「読む・書く・聞く・話す」の４技能を基礎的なレベルで運用できることを目指す。

春学期のコミュニケーションセミナー１に引き続き、文法を中心としたアプローチから、中国語の「読む・書く・聞く・話す」の４つの技能をさらに向上させる。学習の中盤となる第６回では、教員が指定するテーマに沿って事前に作文し、授業で個人発表を行う。授業中には、ペアワーク、グループワークおよび小テスト等を実施する予定である。
