【Course Objectives】

Through interactive discussions in English and real-world examples, this course enables students to critically analyze cultural phenomena while enhancing their understanding of intercultural communication through the lens of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). Students will also engage with different styles of English writings, become familiar with international frameworks such as the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003), strengthen their academic speaking skills, participate in discussions, deliver presentations, and build a specialized vocabulary suited for academic contexts.

This course provides an engaging introduction to the diverse world of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), focusing on the development of language, cultural awareness, and academic communication skills. Designed for students preparing to participate in English-language academic settings, the course examines the history, challenges, and global practices of ICH in an accessible and thought-provoking way.
