This course aims to equip students with fundamental insights into second language acquisition. We will explore the process of first language acquisition and delve into the distinctive features of second language learning. Throughout the duration of this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical aspects of SLA, coupled with practical insights into pedagogical approaches within classroom settings.
In this course, students will watch academic video lectures and read the text chapters in English. As they learn the content, they will build a glossary list of the necessary technical terms and prepare notes for the discussion sessions in class. They will also be encouraged to use their critical thinking skills to deepen their thoughts and present their ideas on the pedagogy of SLA.

This course aims to equip students with fundamental insights into second language acquisition.
