【Course Objectives】

This lecture aims to further understanding of Chinese culture from a multicultural perspective. Students are expected to cultivate a dialectical and flexible thinking to comprehend and analyze relevant issues in Chinese culture and its connections with other cultures.

【Course Contents】

This lecture interprets the characteristics of Chinese culture from various perspectives, including forms of civilization, religion, literature, traditional culture, and popular culture. It also compares the similarities and differences between Chinese and Japanese cultures and forms a fundamental understanding of multiculturalism and multinaturalism. Through reading written materials and watching visual resources, students will deepen their understanding of relevant topics. Furthermore, a variety of methods such as discussions, presentations, and debates will be employed to cultivate students' ability to discover and solve issues. In cording to assess the mastery of acquired knowledge and the ability to present new perspectives, there will be two individual oral presentations in the middle and at the end of the semester.
